Work completed in the last couple of weeks
We’ve just released Silverstripe CMS 5.3.0-beta1.
We’ve also updated the docs site to pull through CMS 6 documentation, so you can see the (very much a work-in-progress) CMS 6 changelog and start to get a feel for what that release will be like.
Changes to look forward to in future releases
- Remove
DataExtension
and other superfluous classes - Upgrade to symfony 7 for CMS 6
- Remove GraphQL from the CMS
- Remove legacy nested menu items javascript and styling
- Strong typing for the view layer
- Drop support for MySQL 5 in CMS 6
