The new major version of silverstripe/realme 4.0.0 has been released.
The main feature of the new version is the removal of mcrypt from the list of dependencies and as such support for PHP 7.2+. This version has been tested with PHP 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3.
Another new feature is support for JSON encoded assertion integrations (which has been the new RealMe default type for some time). Obviously, XML is still supported too.
The line 3.x of the module is now deprecated as it relies heavily on mcrypt extension and only works with PHP <=7.1.
